ANTHONY YOVINO, ESQ. (Bachelor of Science, St. John's University, 1980; Juris Doctorate, St. John's University School of Law, 1983) has been practicing matrimonial law on Long Island for over 24 years. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a member of the New York State Bar Association Committee on Family Law, and Nassau County Bar Association's Matrimonial Law Committee, of which he was the Chairman of the Ethics Sub-Committee. Mr. Yovino has lectured extensively on matrimonial and family issues before Members of the Bar and various community, civic, and fraternal organizations. He has conducted Continuing Legal Education Seminars at St. John's University School of Law and is a frequent guest on the Radio Program "Law You Should Know" which airs on WHPC 90.3 FM. Mr. Yovino has been attorney of record on numerous cases that established legal precedents over the years in the area of Matrimonial Law, including McGowan vs. McGowan which established the principle that an advanced educational degree is marital property subject to equitable distribution upon divorce.
